MTS "London" : the first DOUBLE HULL bunker barge even built !

It was in 1990 that family Maes was building the first double Hull bunker barge, named "London". Victrol operated the 1500 mt DWT barge in the seagoing ports of the ARA region.

Although it was not mandatory to transport mineral oils by means of double hull barges at that time, it was clear that this type of barges would increase the safety standards intensively.

And herewith the pioneering standards of Victrol were set : in 1993 MTS "London II" , another double hull barge, joined the fleet with much more to follow over the years thereafter !
